Tissot

Tissot, and many other manufacturers, employed the ESA 9162 movement in their watches. In the case of Tissot, these watches were called Tissonics!

The ESA 9162 is often considered the “Rolls Royce” of tuning fork movements. It was designed by Max Hetzel, who had previously worked for Bulova and was also responsible for the Accutron 214.

This first example is one of my favorite watches. The dial pattern is superb and the large rectangular is just perfect. Love it!
